Ta-da! Weebly Membership is officially here, opening up a variety of cool new opportunities to the Pro and Business Weebly users. From now on, they can create member areas visible to registered users only. So let’s take a closer look at some key elements of the new feature:
- The login/register link is automatically added to your main navigation. This link is customizable – you can place it anywhere on the page using a call-to-action button or anything else that can improve conversion rates.
- Users can now create Member Groups, bulk add members via CSV and set member areas to only be accessible to specific Members or Groups.
- Users can create direct invite links and customize invitation emails.
Membership is available for Pro and Business plans. While a site with Pro subscription can have up to 20 members, Business sites can support unlimited accounts. It’s vital to note that Pro users have to add their members manually via the control panel, as public registration option is only available as part of the Business subscription.
Important update: after listening closely to user feedback, Weebly agreed that 20 members is too low, so they raised the Pro limit to 100 users.
This was a highly requested feature and a very massive project for Weebly. Now Weebly is one of the rare website builders that offer user management options. Just to recap: until recently, this feature was available only in Webs, DoodleKit and uCoz.
