This year, there were at least three website builders which took the advantage of the giant platform for brand exposure – the Super Bowl. Never mind that they’ve paid up to $4.5 million for a 30-second spot; Super Bowl broadcaster NBC still garners the biggest audience for a single program, making these spots worth every penny to most marketers.
So, here are the ads:
We’ll start with GoDaddy, as it was its 11th consecutive year:
Quick sidenote: Initially, there was ‘a puppy ad’ produced specifically to run on the 2015 Super Bowl. The ad was very controversial, and over 40,000 people signed a petition to get GoDaddy to pull the ad. Here’s the ad, in case you haven’t seen it:
For Squarespace, it was its second Super Bowl commercial. The commercial features Jeff Bridges who wants you to get better sleep:
