Squarespace is well known for its export/import and third party integration solutions. Specifically, it allows site owners to import blog content from WordPress, Blogger, Tumblr, Squarespace 5, Posterous, Shopify and BigCartel (the latter two work for eCommerce-specific content). What’s more, Squarespace users can seamlessly pull in content from Instagram, 500px, Twitter, Foursquare and other web resources, as well as export their blogs to WordPress – Squarespace doesn’t take hostages :).
In addition to these impressive features, Squarespace has recently introduced and improved three new integrations:
- ‘Pin It’ (Pinterest support). Site owners can now enable pinning for any picture on their sites. The ‘Pin It’ button will appear on the top corner of the image when you hover your mouse over it. There are different button colors, styles and sizes to choose from.
- SoundCloud Embed. You can now share tracks or even full albums in a hassle-free manner using the new, inbuilt SoundCloud block.
- One-click Animoto Embed. Animoto video maker has quickly gained popularity among small business owners allowing them to create quality videos using ready media (clips, videos, images). It now offers 20% of annual pro subscriptions to all Squarespace customers and is extremely easy-to-integrate.
