When Weebly entered the market back in 2007, its aim was to enable virtually anyone to create, control and customize their own websites, without needing technical expertise and big budgets. Since then, these needs have progressed from running a simple personal website to gaining customers and boosting sales. By popular request, about a year ago Weebly introduced its own eCommerce platform, incorporated an extra friendly Mobile Editor and even started a live chat support.
At the end of March 2014 they’ve updated the system with some new features. Let’s take a closer look at those.
eCommerce: Notes to Seller, Quickbooks/CSV Export, Tracking Pixels
From now on, your customers can enter custom messages in the shopping cart window during checkout. This feature is available in the Store tab (Settings -> General).
Quickbooks fans rejoice! Store order data export is now a reality. Weebly retailers can now take advantage of easy export (Quickbooks or CSV file) directly from their store dashboard. While CSV export is free for all plans, Quickbooks export comes as part of the Business Plan.
Using the advanced settings interface, you can now add Google Analytics to your shop, as well as smart tracking pixels to your Cart, Payment and Receipt pages. These handy features will help you understand your customers better and gain valuable insights about the areas of improvement. This feature is also available on Squarespace.
The new gallery of free and paid photographs provides Weebly users with over 12 million of high quality pics to personalize their websites. You can get absolutely free images, as well as purchase some professional photos directly from the Weebly interface without interrupting the site building process.
